Aerosim Mobile is a new aviation learning and engagement platform that brings training tools, live aviation information, AI-assisted learning, flight-related services, and events into one mobile experience.
I led the UI and UX design of the app, shaping the overall experience from navigation and feature structure to individual screens, then collaborating closely with the developer to translate the designs into a working product.
THE CHALLENGE
Designing for a specialised aviation domain required me to quickly understand unfamiliar terminology, workflows, and user expectations while translating evolving stakeholder ideas into a coherent mobile experience.
The challenge was not simply designing individual screens, but establishing a structure flexible enough to accommodate very different features — from live ATIS streams and AI learning to training tools, events, and flight-related services.
THE DESIGN APPROACH
I built the experience around a modular, card-based interface that keeps different aviation services visually connected while allowing each feature to function independently. Clear navigation, consistent hierarchy, and a blue aviation-inspired visual system were used to make a feature-rich app feel approachable and easy to explore.
