The campaign was applied across both screen-based and physical formats, from recruitment posters and social media to backdrops, floor graphics, trophies and event collateral.
AIAT 2026 Kuala Lumpur required a visual system that could work across the entire tournament experience — from early recruitment and digital promotion to the live event, participant materials, and winner recognition.
I developed and adapted the campaign across a wide range of touchpoints, creating a consistent identity that could move between social media, printed collateral, event environments and award-related materials while still feeling part of one tournament.
Establishing a recognisable campaign identity for the tournament’s 5th anniversary and Kuala Lumpur edition
Extending the campaign into an ongoing digital narrative, from registration and tournament education to stage communication and winner announcements
Recognition, Reimagined as a Boarding Experience
Winners Trophies
THE CHALLENGE
The challenge was maintaining one coherent campaign identity across a large and constantly expanding range of touchpoints. The same visual language needed to work across social media, printed communication, participant materials, large-format event graphics and winner recognition — each with very different formats and information needs.
At the same time, the campaign needed to communicate the excitement of aviation and competition without losing clarity across information-heavy materials.
THE DESIGN APPROACH
I built the campaign around a bold purple visual language, strong typography and aviation-led imagery, then adapted the system across each stage of the tournament. Recurring elements such as aircraft visuals, runway references, boarding-pass concepts and the 5th Anniversary identity helped keep the experience recognisable while allowing individual materials to serve different purposes.
